This is one of those stories that takes a mouthfull to tell. To think that selling a car was going to be easy, i must have been naive. Next time I'm selling a car, I'm going to sell it off to a second hand car dealer. Less hassle, peace of mind. The first time i wrote about this issue was way back on January 4th.
Now its been 2 months and I still haven't received a single sen from the sale. The sad thing is, the ownership of the car has been transfered to the new owner! The problem I believe is with the bank that's handling the process. There's this person in the bank whom I will refer to as Aziz (not his real name) who has been causing me all this pain for the last 2 months. You see, on the day I submitted all the forms that was required for processing Aziz non-challantly announced "...dua minggu lagi abang check la akaun, duit masuk lagi dua minggu.." when I asked when will i receive my refund after his bank settles my outstanding loan.
That was on the 27th of December 2004. Last week I called Aziz up and Aziz told me "...kalau abang nak tunggu duit masuk baru nak bagi kereta kat owner baru (who can now claim that i stole the car) boleh jugak, ikut abang la senang cerita..." when i asked why didn't you just complete the process together (change ownership and refunding me). At his 'intelligent' remark I immediately let off everything that i've been holding back. Yes, I have been really patient..now Aziz was just getting on my nerves. I asked Aziz when can I have my money then, since you have conveniently transfered ownership without refunding me and Aziz's answer was again 'intelligent', "saya tak tahu la bang...". Aziz must have jerked his head when I shouted my reply later...(I hardly shout at strangers...but this takes the cake..).
I said "..you senang je cakap, senang cerita...apa yang you tahu? semua pun tak tahu? proses ni dah berapa lama you tahu? jawab la!!??" more or less what I yelled at him. And then he immediately hung up the phone. Too bad Aziz. But you started it. I was really patient to the point that some people even said, why are you letting him off the hook easily. You are too nice. Well Aziz (bukan nama sebenar), no more mister nice guy on my part. I'm gonna make sure you burn...
