I have a confession to make. In 2004, I was still a smoker. I kicked the habit cold turkey style in August. Now I've been off the sticks for almost a year and life as it seems has become better, health wise. But I have to thank the folks in Indonesia for today I am being reminded of what being a smoker was all about. Thank you Indonesia, thank you...
I would love to change the title of one WINGS song. Instead of "Benafas dalam lumpur", lets make it more relevant: "Bernafas dalam debu/jerebu". Yeah now that would be a message that we can pass on to Indonesia albeit in a melody.
How about this idea. Now that face masks are fashionable again (its usually popular during this period) lets make it hip and trendy to wear. And lets not just stop there, let's use those catchy marketing lines usually found in Jalan TAR. I'm thinking, let's have a "Penutup mulut Mawi" or "Penutup Mulut Felix". Wouldn't that be something?
Or how about, instead of the normal white coloured face masks, we have painted face masks. A face mask with the mouth cover of darth vader with additional device to make the "kroohhh" sound as you breathe throught it. Agentkay7 was lamenting on having a face mask with the snout of a particular animal, but I wouldn't wear one...
I bet if louise armstrong was still alive, he wouldn't have sang "I see skies are blue...".

a friend told me that some tudung sellers are already resorting to tudung mawi. simply because mawi once answered to the question of what type of girl he wants, "dia mesti la bertudung". i tell you, that's pretty lame.
so, if there is tudung mawi, i wouldn't be surprise if there is "topeng mawi"/"mawi's mask" in the drive to increase sale.
for now, i prefer the plain white mask. i look like a lost surgeon amidst the haze...
