I wish...

I wish I was a pilot, piloting an airline Boeing 777. Carrying people all over the world. Being able to say "This is your captain speaking...our flight would take approximately 3 hours...". Flying sky high. Going to far away places, exotic places. Living out of a suitcase. Meeting a lot of people. Perhaps even famous people on one of my flight schedule. Shaking hands with people that sit in first class, the kind of people that you would hardly have access to. Of course the pay would be great, yeah... the sacrifises in terms of time would be a trade-off, but money is good anytime. Ramadhan would also be a bit different. Different timezones might just make things a bit difficult. "Dah boleh berbuka ke belum ni?", "ada time lagi ke nak sahur ni?" It would be an experience worth sharing with people around me.....

.....but I'm not a pilot. I'm a teacher. I don't travel around and commute people around the world in an airplane. I won't be going to far away lands neither exotic locations. I would be shouting "hey, tirulah, masuk neraka kau nanti!" I wont be meeting famous people. My pay is enough but would never be equivalent to the earnings of a pilot. Oh yeah...and today I won't be able to 'berbuka puasa' with my family because there's a test that has to be conducted! But is that BAD??! NOOOO....

....I actually kinda like it. And I'm so glad that my wish/dream of becoming a pilot didn't come true. I might not get to meet famous people, but perhaps in the future among these batch of students I have around me, some of them might be famous...just hope its not for the wrong reasons lah...
